As part of Re-flow’s ongoing commitment to the local community they wanted to give back to Exeter-based women’s rugby team Topsham Tempests. At the end of last year, Re-flow sponsored the team’s training shirts and as a sponsor were invited to an event on Sunday 14th January.
Representatives from the Marketing team went along to see the women’s side in action and got the chance to learn a little bit about the team, meet the Sponsorship Manager, Social Media Manager, Club Captain and Team Captain and other sponsors including potential client Dolphin Stairlifts.
Ellen Cotter, Campaign Manager said: “It was great to see the team in action and meet some of the dedicated players and supporters - there was a real community feel.
The club ran into hardship last year with many of the players leaving but the women’s side have had a real comeback story and have built the team back up. It goes to show the power of a good grass roots team and community.
Creating connections with the wider community has always been part of Re-flow’s plan and this is just the start of many exciting opportunities. We can’t wait to see the kit.”
Unfortunately, the result wasn’t quite what they hoped for, with Helston Women beating them 39-7. They are hoping for a better result and to try out the branded shirts at the Tempest’s memorial game on Saturday 3 February.
