The Re-flow team recently attended Rail Live, which took place between 21st and 22nd of June at the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre in Warwickshire.
2023 marks the second time we’ve been at Rail Live, with last year’s event being among our two debut rail exhibitions. While we were only dipping our toes in the sector last year, we’ve been hard at work since – further establishing ourselves in this rapidly growing, innovative industry.
There’s no better place to see that innovation on show than Rail Live – the only exhibition to bring the entire rail industry together in a real railway environment. This is one of the things that makes Rail Live so unique – rather than being hosted in an indoor exhibition hall, the entire event takes place outdoors.
This means that our team was able to see the newest in pioneering rail technology – from hulking machinery to compact equipment aiming to be the next great advancement in its market. The unique setting also provided plenty of entertainment. From falconry to police helicopters, the three-day show wasn’t short of spectacle.
Among the 5,000 rail professionals representing all areas of the industry was our own contingent of software specialists. This time, the Re-flow stand was manned by Ashley Wing, Head of Sales & Marketing, alongside Business Development Manager, Adam Kyffin. It was a busy three-day stint of demonstrating our award-winning field management software to a diverse crowd of industry professionals – the perfect opportunity to establish new contacts and learn more about the sector.
In addition to new contacts, we had the chance to touch base with some familiar faces. Just like last year, we stopped by the stand of long-term client DWG Infraco, manned by Mike Andrews, Director, and Ansel Zabula, Project Manager. Since the last time we saw them, we’ve collaborated with DWG on both a community spotlight and a case study, so it was great to catch up once again.
We also stopped by the stands of two more of our clients - Chevron Green Services and LB Foster. Jack Austin, Internal Sales Support at LB Foster, was kind enough to stop by our stand to let us know just how satisfied his team are with the system and the support they’re receiving. We’re committed to delivering a comprehensive and powerful field management system for rail and look forward to seeing how our clients in the sector continue benefiting in the future.
In their downtime, our team had the chance to catch up on the latest in the industry. Rail Live was host to a spectacular lineup of speakers. Attendees could experience insightful talks direct from the most prominent and knowledgeable figures in the industry, including Chairman of Network Rail, Lord Peter Hendy, Chief Executive Officer of HS2, Mark Thurston and Innovation Director at the RIA, Milda Manomaityte.
Rail Live marks the final event of our busy summer season, with our team taking some well-deserved rest before another busy autumn. In case you missed us, don’t fret. We’ll be back on the road in October, starting with UK Construction Week Birmingham. To stay up to date on all of our events, see our roadmap and follow us on social media.
